How Do I Meet People?

Petersburg Lutheran Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a fisherman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Petersburg Lutheran Church.

Small Group

Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, Petersburg Lutheran Church has a Book Study group held in Colleen Nicholson’s home each Sunday Morning. There are also two Bible Study groups held at PLC.  One on Sunday morning before the 10 am service at 8:45 am and a Crossways Bible study held each Thursday morning at 10:00 am in the Holy Cross House.  There is another Sunday morning Book Study group held in the Rabbi Hus before the service, just contact Barb Steltz or Karen Malcolm.

Youth Ministry

Our Youth Ministry has wrapped up for the school year but we are gearing up for our VBS which is June 20th-24th!  Our theme is “Pandamania” and we are going to discover new ways that we can help share the love of God with others. This VBS is for kids age 3-grade 6.  Please come if you can and volunteer.  We could always use some extra help!  Thanks.  We also are getting ready for our Middle School – High School Camp in July.  This is the Glacier Bible Camp out at mile 26 in Juneau.  The theme is “Promise” and we are going to have a blast! Registrations for Glacier Bible Camp are in Ying’s office.

Women’s Group

Petersburg Lutheran Church host a Women’s Group called Ruth Quilters. This gives the women in our church family special time of interaction. The Ruth Quilters group meets every other Wednesday from 10am-1pm.
